ASA Mark Ertler, Cook County Assistant State's Attorneys
Office for more than 16 years and currently Supervisor of DNA Review
Unit. He has worked in criminal appeals, the traffic division, misdemeanor
and felony trial courts. His experience includes a term as Deputy Supervisor
of a unit handling post-conviction, extradition and expungement matters.
Mark is involved in cold-case work, litigation over new DNA technology
and re-examination of convictions where DNA may now be useful. He has
acted as guest lecturer at Northwestern University School of Law and
is an adjunct faculty member at John Marshall Law School. He was recently
appointed to the Illinois Laboratory Advisory Committee. |
